PLATE / 01 — COBALT
NO. 001 / 180

A rectangle of cobalt. An axis. The first move of a composition that will, by the end of this page, resolve itself.

KG / A/W · MMXXVI / COMPOSITION 01Fashion is geometric.
Primary Garments, set against primary colour.

COMPO/SITION01SHAPE

Twenty-four garments. Three primary colours. One proposition: that a dress can be a triangle, a coat a square, a shirt a circle, and none of it is a metaphor.

Read with a clear head and, ideally, a square room. Our position is not new; it is simply held with more discipline.

§ 05 / EDITORIAL

THE
GARMENT
IS A
PLANE.

BY THE KINO STUDIO — 2026

We do not design clothes, we arrange planes. A sleeve is a rectangle that has agreed, for a moment, to follow an arm. A pocket is a square making room for your hand. The dress is a triangle; the shirt is a field of colour held in place by six buttons.
KINO GALLERY publishes garments in the same way a gallery publishes works: twice a year, catalogued, framed, and shown against a colour. Each piece is given a number, a form, and a weight. Nothing is seasonal. Nothing is trend-led.
We keep our palette short — red, blue, yellow, ink, paper — because we believe primary colour is already a complete argument. To add another is to weaken it.
